Hi, I’m Sam Slavik! I grew up in Gardnerville, Nevada, where my dad’s career in law enforcement taught me the value of giving back to my community. My journey took me through the worlds of robotics and manufacturing, and now you’ll usually find me working alongside my husband as co-owner of Sierra Nevada Builders. With experience in both high-tech manufacturing and hands-on construction, I’m passionate about helping young people discover rewarding careers in the skilled trades. For me, it’s all about opening doors, building strong communities, and making sure the next generation is ready for whatever comes their way.
Samantha's Story
Samantha Slavik's foundation in community service began in Gardnerville, Nevada, where her father's career in law enforcement instilled strong values of civic responsibility. Her professional journey through Hamilton Robotics and Biosero in human resources, service coordination, and demand planning provided her with unique insights into how skilled trades integrate with advanced manufacturing technologies.

As co-owner of Sierra Nevada Builders with her licensed contractor husband, Samantha has gained firsthand experience in the construction industry, understanding the complex blend of technical expertise and business acumen required for success in the trades. This dual perspective—spanning corporate manufacturing and hands-on construction business ownership—makes her an invaluable member of the NV STEM for Skilled Trades Board of Directors.
